Macros

Hi,

 

Is there any good books out there on how to write macros for Fanuc controls? Where is a good place to start, assuming I know nothing about Macros?

Very cool James. I need that kind of help right now we are putting Auto tool length setters on some milling centers here and I need to program them in macros. Also john thanks for asking the question.

I just bought a book, "Fanuc CNC Custom Macros" sounds like it might be just what you need (Peter Smid : Industrial Press). Haven't gotten too deep into it yet, but seems decent enough. Good price from Amazon, especially for a good-size hardcover with a CD.

I like the links that you posted. Some good stuff. Before I got mastercam I had to program everything by hand. I learned and used macros a lot. I wish that I wish that I had this info back then. I still use macros from time to time.

 

What would be a real nice tool is if you could use foemulas to creat solids or surfaces in master cam.

I to would like to thank everyone that posted a link. Good info. I like the idea of a video course and that CNC programming Library from Industrial press seems like a must have.

MACRO B is SERIOUSLY powerful. Definitely a MUST in the bag O trix.

 

Some people have written them off as being out of date but I think they still have their place even though the language is somewhat antiquated.
