MR1 OVER SP2

I am using x/sp2 and in one or two days I am getting x/mr1. Is there considerable difference in two releases.

You'll get the new highspeed toolpaths. I don't think you'll see a difference in the interface.

me personally i have found mr1 alot faster on my slow laptop, and i havent had a crash since i installed mr1....

I think MR1 is pretty much the same as SP2. It has added functionality, as Thad mentioned, but I don't think there are any additional bug fixes in MR1 over SP2.

That is my understanding too. There is no difference except for more goodies in MR1.

Well, I like the fact that they put all the circle tangent functions into the circle tangent icon. I spent an inordinant ammount of time hunting for them before mr1. Peter

Bug fixs are the same but some of the diffrence like all are sayig is the goodies like the HSM Toolpaths and Multi pass in threading and some toggle options in 5Ax and more.

there are a couple of bugs that need fixed (and are being addressed) in MR1: create-curve-slice leaves gaps in my complex parts, create-curve-one edge and all edges does not create arcs on holes. I brought these to the attention of mastercam and they said the fixes will be on the new release: MR2. Also when switching back and forth between 2 axis and 3 axis posts for the same machine you have to open up the machine group files folder before it will switch from one post to the other.
