Closeing For the X-mass week

Our school is closed until Spring startup (middle of January), but I'll be sitting here most every night, playing with mcam, working on spring courses, learning, learning, learning.......

It's more the customers than the boss (coming from the boss perspective). Everyone wants installation of their tops for "Christmas dinner" or "thanksgiving" or "that big party on the fourth". So far project management has not caught on to the fact that "stuff happens" and you can't promise 1200 square feet of product if the machines have been putting out a consistant 622 sq. feet a week. Translated- yes, we usually work holidays.

Good Morning all

I tried to slow down the work through the holiday's,

so that we could stop working near xmass and new

years day. However my boss said in his Hungarian

accent said that the way he understood the English

language is that you have to be doing something in

order to stop doing something. So I have to work.

nothing to do.sitting around doing nothing.not getting paid because I,m an"indepedant contractor"

all the benifits of being an employee(come and go when I"m told and sitting around doing nothing waiting for some work)with all the benefits of an independant contractor(not getting paid)

The company I work for was locked down by security guards the day after Thanksgiving for

a "shareholders review of management".

I've been sitting home on full pay and benifits

ever since. I've been doing some programming

for a friend to pass the time so I've been getting paid twice

Unfortunately, I don't think the company will survive this "review" so I think I'll probably be starting the New Year unemployeed and not getting paid too

We have new tooling through spring.

Not quite enough work to give out or "Overflow" to the job shop's etc.

We are closing on friday afternoon for two weeks.

so it will be a nice break, away from the pressure of work.
