HST Toolpaths Usability Survey

Recommended Posts

The high speed toolpaths (HST) interface in Mastercam X MR1 was the first introduction of a new, simplified user interface for toolpaths. We'd like to get your feedback on this new interface style. The following link takes you to a short online survey. Please fill out the survey only once. The results will be posted within a few weeks of the end of the survey. We appreciate your time and input.

The link will be active through Friday, April 21.

Many thanks to everyone who participated in the HST interface survey. We gathered a lot of valuable information about this new toolpath style, including:

* 90% of respondents liked the new interface and felt it was easy to learn.

* Almost everyone likes the ability to switch between toolpath types and wants to see that functionality across other toolpaths.

* Many users would welcome the addition of an Apply button that puts toolpaths into a queue for processing.

* Pictures that explain dialog box options are the way to go.

We also got some great feedback on the HST documentation and lots of suggestions for additional functionality. So thanks again for your input! We plan to do more surveys in the future, so keep the comments coming!
