I get this alot when doing engraving of small letters or logos. (2D pocket, remachine, tapered walls is the biggest culprit) I usually change the stepovers, tolerence. Sometimes I replace splines with lines and arc.

 

I dont know if it will gouge, didnt want to take a chance. I was going to submit these logo's to MC's QC dept, but I'm not allowed to submit our customers files.

 

I would rarely get this warning in V9, but I get it quite frequently in X.

I'm getting it on 2D chamfer so there is no step over.

It seems like it's from curves created from solids. When I create the same curves from surface which where created from the solid model there's no warning.

It is a strange one.
