Selecting ok with mouse

Hi all,

Anyone know a way to use keyboard, spacebar would be nice, to exit from dialog boxes.

I guess should have worded differently when in parameters. Enter doesn't work. Esc. will but chamges aren't saved

The chain manager dialog box is same way after you pick chains you must select OK. ENTER seems logical but doesn't work.

Enter only works when the are no chains in the Box. you can delete the chains you were going to edit then when you repick your chains you can use enter.

Other wise you have to green check your changes.

Try hitting TAB or CTRL + TAB to navigate while in a dialog box. ALT + TAB works too to navigate between active windows. If you are running XP, go to the Start menu and click on Help and support. Do a search for "Windows keyboard shortcuts overview" and click the link. This gives you a list of the default windows keyboard shortcuts. My favorite so far: hold down the "windows key and press the E key to launce a windows explorer browser. No more right-clicking on the start menu and selecting explore!

Thanks but can't find anything to help. I guess sometimes you just have to select green check.

 

Try "windows key and press D" key to open desktop.

Preselecting eliminates a lot of OK clicks. If the situation suits.

I import alot of operations then repick geometry is there a way to preselect with existing operation.

I don't think I fully understand you, but I don't think so. What do you want to preselect?

Sorry gone to lunch.I have a bunch of operation libraries for doing different things like tapped holes. I drill, chamfer, and thread mill. So I import operations into current file and select geometry.

It seems to work really well less things to screw up. In V9 I would open up a file similar to new part delete all entities and bring in new part geometry. I then would pick new geometry and regenerate.

 

With X I have been utilizing import instead. It would be nice to be able to export some simple geometry into operation library but not all. Also if you could make current tool library active so it would use same tool but if diameters of tool changed would use library values(for 3d toolpaths).

 

Or if you were running in different machine create new machine group and copy operations into group using tools from machine tool library.I have different posts and rpm's so cannot run same nc file.
