Getting a blank page when printing

I'm experiencing problems just like this when printing a file. I get a blank sheet of paper. The problem only seems to come around when the file is big. This particular file is 70 MB and made up of ~850 solids. It seems to be a printer specific issue, like Chris Bell mentioned in the link above because I can print a screen shot on one printer, but not another. The printer I'm having problems with is a HP PSC1610 All in One.

 

Does anyone know if this printer is on the list of trouble makers?

I just had my printer updated and it now has more memory. I did not get a new printer. A service guy came in and worked on it as well as several other printers here.

As a result I can print shaded.

Not so sure if I can print a really large file shaded.

Can you load another printer from somewhere else

at your facility and give that a try?

Did you try printing it as only a solid?

Just a thought.

and isn't there a choice to spool or not on the printer for large files?

Do you mean could I print it with shading off? One of those solids would print with shading off, but the entire file would not print with shading off. Maybe I don't understand what you're asking?

 

Lee, yes, other files have printed fine on this printer, both solids and non-solid files. It seems to act up more on large solid files.

 

Rick, printing from the print preview page didn't work either.

 

We've kinda nailed it down to the printer because the exact same file that won't print on one printer, will print on another printer.

has a solution for this been found?

all of the sudden i am having printing problems.

earlier today could not print with model shaded-printed wire frame fine.

now i am working on another file and cannot even print a wire frame.

all are comming out blank

Nothing has changed that i am aware of wtf.

I had the same problem, we up graded to a better all-in-one keyocera(the old printer was pooping out). But it has a regular harddrive to buffer/scan & store data so I do believe the memory thing was the problem.

We have that problem here. We have a zerox network copier, a HP color laser and a HP laser printer. When I print a large file to the copier I get a blank page, but, if I send it to one of the two laser it prints with no problem.

I started having the same problem. I was thinking it was from the new pc i have. The printer is a hp lazerjet 5000N. the old computer printed no problem.

i got it to work again for me. I had my shortcut looking at my config. but in config start/exit it was looking at default. don't make sence to me why that would affect printing but when i made them the same all is well
