I would definatly look into a Dell Precision M90 if you are wanting a laptop. These were designed with cad/cam packages in mind and are certified by Soldiworks, UG, Catia, and a ton of others.

Comes with the option of dual core 2, Quadro FX 2500M, Matt screen which helps with the glare, 17 inch screen at that, and some other options.

I have a junk dell latitude 510 with a medium grade video card and as soon as I open mastercam with no geometry or anything the peice of crap's CPU Usage is maxed at 100%. 80% of the time Im doing simple 2d stuff, but the other 20% Im constanlly getting hung up or have to restart. So if your doing a lot of solid models I wouldnt recomemend it.

Im currently trying to get a new laptop with dual proccesor's or something more suitable for my needs
