x2 recent folders

I only get one listing in the "recent folders" drop down menu. What settings need to be changed?

First, a silly question. Have you worked on files from more than one folder?

Are you working over a network. I have noticed that if you are, it works fine if you map the drive, but if just going through a shortcut, it dosnt seem to work. try mapping your network drive if this is what you are doing.

I thought I’d use this thread to bring up a question concerning the recent folders.

 

I have it set to show 20 in the list but it only shows the last folder I used and the other 19 listings are the first 19 folders I used after installing X2. Other than showing the last folder I used it’s backwards by keeping the folders I first used after setting it up. Is there anything in settings to change this or is it a bug on my installation?

If you are comfortable in editing the Registry, you could try this.

 

Under this Registry key is where the folder list is kept ->

 

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareCNC Software, Inc.Mastercam X2GUIRecent Folder List

 

Remove (delete) all the 'Folder#' entries.

Then see how X2 fills in this list as you open files in different folders.

 

btw, You can delete these entries even when X2 is running.
