File/Open-Recent Files

I can't seem to find this feature.

On the bottom of your file open dialog box, recent folder, files should be in there

It happens automatically on my X2 as soon as I hit 'file'

It used to be they were listed on the right mouse button.

I noticed the same thing Lee.

 

Hitting "File" gives a recent files list at the bottom of the drop down menu.

 

Hitting File Open they have tacken away the RH mouse button for Recent files.

 

Hitting the Folder open icon gives a different dialog box and the right hand recent files button is not there.

It gives a recent folder used but for me its useless because its so deep in my network I cant see what folder it is looking at.

When you open the "File Open" dialog box click on the drop down button to the right of the File Name field. This is were the recent files are located.

Because my files are deep into a network I can NOT see the files.

 

This is the recent list that works for me.

I contacted CNC on this and the onlt thing you can do right now is to "stretch" your dialog box out to the right and you will be able to see the rest of the adress.

 

We have the same problem!

 

I hope they are able to do somthing down the line to fix this but as of right now nothing.

The File Open dialog is resizeable.

Just pull it out wider to the right and the (3) dropdown fields will expand.

Edit:Roger I make the Open dialog box bigger so I can se my recent files in the File name drop down.

But if I shut MC down and reopen its small again. Is it possible to make this dialog box open to the same size again and again?

I now have two ways to see recently used files.

 

Now prefering the one under main menu file tab

** During the same session **

The "new" File Open dialog remembers the position and size from the last time it was displayed.

When you restart X2, it defaults back to the "default" position & size.

Sorry to jump into this topic...

 

I just have a problem with this same function on V9.1

 

I just did a fresh WinXP pro install and... Right-mousebutton menu in open file window disappeared. Checkbox 'File Description'in main window too...

 

Anyone can help?

It's Ok i finally found...

 

I just had to run CNCREG.EXE in MC9 install directory and select Mastercam optionbutton for each app (Lathe and Mill).
