Toolpath Generation Failures

I have begun experiencing 2 problems in V8, both having to do with toolpath generation

failures. Neither of these problems occur in 2 axis programming. In 3d programming,

(for example, after creating a surface/finish/parallel cut) V8 occasionally tells me "Toolpath

Generation Failed. Save Operation?" This occurs after I have set the tool and cut

parameters. The 2nd error I sometimes receive is with a successfully saved cut, when I

try to change any parameter (rpm, feedrate, etc.), the cut will not regenerate. The red "X"

remains in the operations manager. Does anyone have any ideas? Again, this is a

sporadic problem.

Thank You

Jeez, you guys are a rough crowd. Pebkac is in indeed a factor here. I took the same geometry (created by me at my keyboard in my chair) to another seat of Mastercam and it worked perfectly. So I guess it's software re-installation time. Thanks for the non-sarcastic replies.

Why certainly you helped. I now have a new acronym to throw around in the shop! But seriously; yes, you helped. Charles' comment about re-installing made me think I should have tried running to another seat before I posted, and you made me do the Homer Simpson thing - D'oh!. This is a great forum; I lurk a lot and enjoy learning from all you folks. Thanks very much for the help!

Ken thanks for the nice words, but I can not take any credit on this one, except for fun.

Hope it all works out the way it’s suppose to.

So Ken were in Ca, if I may ask.

Actually, the dual login thing is something I need to fix. San Jose, Ca is home; I work in Campbell, CA - right next door to San Jose. Again, thanks to all for the help. After a software re-install I'm sure things will be fine.
