Where are we now?

I am currently using ver 9.1 mr0105 and have been wanting to make the move to X, and we have it, but it's X mr-1, and as usual the company decided to drop our maintenance agreement, I've heard about a lot of bugs in our ver of X, my question is, should I change if the company is not going to renew it maintenance agreement and i'm stuck with X mr-1? and how many updates have there been since mr-1?

With X, MR2 is the version you want to use however if you can get up to X2 you'd be even better of.

 

X2 MR1 will be the next release

You should be able to get MR2. That is a very stable release. I would go that route.

Most of the crash issues with X_MR1 and MR2 are video card releated.

If you get a Quadro FX video card, install the latest drivers and disable a couple of buffers

X_MR1 and MR2 are very stable.

The better GeForce gaming cards will work too,

but a Quadro FX is preferred.

My current machine is running a Geforce FX5200.

Video perfomance is terrible, but I have not

suffered any crashes on this machine in either

X_MR2 or X2

I remember having a lot of issues in MR1 gcode. I think if he can get MR2, he would be in much better shape.

I agree that MR2 is the way to go...I had many issues with MR1 but some were due to the vid card. I am currently running the Quadro FX1500 and things seem to be going pretty good so far!
