Has anybody attempted to use X2 on a Windows vista

The way Mircoshaft is sticking it to us, maybe cad and cam should go Lynux.

 

As for vista, it does not have anything to add to XP in terms of Mcam or the likes (it seems to make it worse!)

Anything but windows would suit me fine right now.

The only problem I have with Macs is the lack of competition on the hardware.

Armondo one of the big isssue's is the none support for open GL and any video drivers to support it.

Windows Vista Support

Mastercam X2MR1 is the first release to support Windows Vista. If you choose to upgrade to Vista, you must install X2 MR1 for Mastercam to run properly. This requires no special steps. Mastercam will act and look the same in Vista. You can take advantage of some new Vista features, but Mastercam’s interface is unchanged.

 

So now I need Vista to get X2MR1 jk. X2 MR1 must be getting close.

I see this as a good way to make sure there is no conflicting hardware/software.

 

This is probably a big reason that Macs are much more stable, less variables.

 

Think about it........isn't it better to have hardware that the software was designed for? specifically instead of something just pulled off a shelf somewhere.

I like the fact that Apple itself matches the hardware with the OS and soft. I think "Microshaft" (LOL- Good One) could learn a lot from this.

You are right about that, Macs do have a lot of advantages. I would gladly pay the extra money for a better computer.
