MR1 change,maybe a bug.

Might be a bug, i don't know.

In MR1 open a file.

Make achange to the file

File/open another file.

Click yes to save file.

In the "save file" window, the highlighted file name is not the same as the 1st.It is the name of the 2nd file i'm trying to open.

 

I've done this several times,same result.

Sp1 does not do this.

I have had this happen to me. I thought it was something I did though. LOst a file to it because I didn't notice it the first time and overwrote it.

send it to QC would be the best bet.

It also wants to put it in the wrong file sometimes too.

I to have had this.

 

Found out that if mouse is set to single click to open file when you go to get another file and let the mouse pointer move across new file it would pick up diff. name and save current file to that.Hard to spot at first because you do it so quick.

 

Return mouse double click and alls well.

I have never had the mouse set to single click.

 

I have seen this issue. After it bit me I tried for 1/2 hour to make it happen again but I could not.

 

If we can't figure out how to make it repeatable QC has very little chance of figuring it out.

The same thing has happened to me on several occasions. So far I haven't overwritten anything that I know of though.

I haven't seen it, however, I got in the habit of hitting the save icon before trying to open a new file.

I haven't seen it either. I just tried it to see what would happen and it worked fine here, but that was only once. Most of the time I click the save icon before opening a new file. Mouse is also set to double click.

I can make it do it everytime this way:

 

1)open a file do what you want and save it.

 

2)do one more thing to the file such as create a line.

 

3)without saving that file open another file.

 

4)It will ask you if you want to save the existing file. Say Yes.

 

5)It will come up the name of the wrong file.

I have had the same issue...and overwrote a file that I needed as a result....what a pain

They emailed me back and said it was a known issue but they are having troubles duplicating it.
