I often import operations from other mcx6 files. The defaualt file type is.vx operation files.
Is there a way ,by chance, a chook to set default to Mastercam Files?
Name your image file "my_logo.png" and overwrite the file located in C:\
Open the default_xss.css file, if thats the one you are using, with notepad.
Its in C:\Users\Public\Documents\X+.
Uncheck the " /* " in front and behind the "background-image:url(file:///c:/my_logo.png);" line.
In your browser print options, check print background images.
Should work
The tabs are gone in x6 when i post multiple ops.
I cant seem to change the default to tabs.
Nevermind, the default is Mastercam editor.
IMO ,the default should be cimco.
A search of the nc code found no R's
I'm running i,j, and k's.
I checked the "one way filtering" in the total tolerance.
I reposted and did a file compare with the original file and saw no differences.
Is there a setting on the fanuc controller that could be changed?
Maybe a post setting?
Ok... I have a simple flowline toolpath.Milling a chamfer on a slot.
The flowline data is correct, the surface normals are correct.
It backplots fine and im using a cnc editer to backplot the nc code,it looks fine.
Running a fanuc controller, the tool does a full 360 deg circle instead of the 180 deg arc on the ends.
It only does this on one of the 14 chamfers that i am milling.
As it steps down , it seems to do this random 360 arc and continue along the chamfer surface.
Any idea where to begin looking?
I can write to config.Even though its "read only"
Any way ,I got it to work.....
There are 3 places to set your verify settings.
One overwrites the other. This is shown in my video above.
Turns out, the "verify options" in verify, trumps them all.
IMO they should reduce the number of places to set verify stock to one.
My reseller agrees and sent it in to cnc.
Thanks to all.
IT guy says "read only" is normal ,verify doesnt change the settings in mcamx.config
I've tried using a .stl file as stock. It only shows a cylinder in a axis,no matter what i change.
hmmm
I unchecked read only, hit apply.... verify didnt change.
So..i went back to change the read only setting and it was checked as read only.
I have admin rights but,it changed back to being checked "read only" for some reason.
I guess i need my it guy.
hit and miss. Sometimes i would have to open a different file, run verify, switch back to my file and it would work.
I would do this as a workaround.
Its never been flawless..... for me.
ok i saved my settings in op defaults, hit green checkmark, yes to save
but...........
as soon as i run verify it switches back to different settings
if i dont run verif it stays ...
i wish i could record this somehow
Yep, i set it as cylinder in z axis,i also have the same in machine group properties.
It will only show a cylinder in the x axis, sometimes with a tombstone.
I cannot get the verify stock to be correct.
It keep loading a saved stl file from a month ago,so i deleted the old stl file.
I changed config/verify interface/initial size/"stock setup"
Now it loads a tombstone shape instaed of the cylinder in stock setup.
My workaround use to be this....
I open another mcx file and run verify ,then switch back, and the stock would be correct.
Now, it wont show a cylinder shape in the z axis ,no matter what i try.
