Hi,

What is the best 5-axis post to start out with.

I have started with the cd ones and run into problems with the binstart areas. It would appear i need to make changes in these areas to get the code to look like our existing code. psof_tlchg_blck is one i seem unable to locate.

Is there a generic post un encrypted as a start point.

Mastercam posts are all based on the Gen5X

post. If you need edits that are buried in the binned file, you'll have to go throught your dealer.

You other option would be a third party post.

I work 3 year with ICAM post end test more complex. aerospace part. post ICAM end MC9 work perfect.

We have ICAM here and you are right, it is VERY expensive. Our UG guys use it on the production side. I was told MC quit working with them around v9. I would expect less and less support with it concerning MC.
