CNC Question

I was wondering what would be the ideal feed rate, spindle speed, and etc. for Denford machines while cutting styrofoam. I tried a few different rates but the surface finish didn't come out very smooth.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know exactly what the name of the foam is but according to my teacher it's just high density foam that's extremely common. Perhaps the feed rates and spindle speed for some very high density foam would work.

i dont think you will have a problem with the surface speed. just keep it under the melting point. use the shortest cutters you can and if they are still too long then turn down the spindle speed. the material does not finish like metal because of porosity but i have never had had problems with the finish.
