Preselect quits working

Everything going along normal while I am drawing then all of a sudden preselect highlight quits working.

What I mean by that is when I move the mouse pointer over the geometry it does not light up the geometry.

I can, however, select the geometry when the pointer is over the geometry and it selects it and highlights the selection.

 

What is going on?

Is it only certain color geometry?

 

You might have inadvertently changed your preselect highlight color and that's why you don't see it "light up"

I tried colors and that was not it.

It works, quits, then works again, without

going into config.

I dont know but, Ive been using this system for 2 years and MC has always worked perfect.

Now it seems to be working constantly.

I guess I will have to wait till it does it again.

I've noticed that if my mouse if near an entity and autohighlight highlights it, if I use the scroll wheel to zoom and my mouse stays within the autohighlight tolerance, I lose the autohighlight until I move my mouse away from the entity and then move it back. This can make it appear like autohighlight quits working. However, while in this "not responding" stage, I can still click the entity and it will select.

andy, mine does the same thing.if i zoom in and out it usually fixes it.

There are times when it will not be active...

 

If you switching to a .CONFIG which has it Pre-selection turned off?.

(See Settings/Configuration/Screen)

 

Or if you use an 'Only' mask and turn on the 'Maintain Only Mask' checkbox.
