Im using MCAMXCNC_MACHINESGENERIC HASS 4X MILL.MMD. I need to edit this post to support some functions in X that it currently doesnt; such as the wear function for contouring. I have never edited a post and dont really know what to look for. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

GENERIC HASS 4X MILL.MMD is a machine definition, not a post.

What type of things, specifically (what part of the wear function?), would you like to change? Then we'll help determine if it's a post change or a machine def change.

First thing you need to do is make a backup copy of your post before you do ANY editing!

Look for something that says "Stage Tools" and "Sequence Numbers".

As for the D not showing up someone here will be able to help you more than I can with that one.

This is from an old V9 MpMaster so I would dl the new one and try changes on it.

For your N numbers change to yes

code:

omitseq : no #Omit sequence numbers?

For your tool staging change to 1

code:

 stagetool : 0 #0 = Do not pre-stage tools, 1 = Stage tools

For your cutter comp I use wear, you do have comp chosen in the operation correct ? It could be in your control def but I'm not an X user so don't know for sure.

Good luck

code:

 pccdia #Cutter Compensation

#Force Dxx# - to Force diameter offset number, remove pound character from next line

#if prv_cc_pos <> cc_pos & cc_pos, prv_tloffno = c9k

sccomp

if cc_pos, tloffno
