Installing the X+ setup sheet.

When installing the X+ setup sheet what triggers the toolbar? I am trying to install on another system for my colleage.

I am limited on where i can go on the internet at work. I just need to know, what triggers the setup sheet to work after you install it?

first right click to the right of the tool bars to see if there is an X+ tool bar option.If not then you need to go to setting custom and setup the tool bar. do you know how to make a tool bar?

OK,it is not in the toolbar area at all. The first time I loaded it, there was something I had to do something to get mastercam to reconize that it was loaded, make a certain file was in a certian place, or something along those lines. I can't remember what that was, I was hoping someone might know what that something was.

 

p.s. even if I create a toolbar there still has to be something there for me to create from. correct?

Click on Settings, then Customize, Click the Category tab. Select the X+ option at. You then drag and drop the icons you want on the toolbar area.

On the toolbars area you should then right click on the newly created toolbar and change the name to X+

Don't install it in MR2 until it is updated.

Again I totally understand that. But the x+ icons are not there.

In that case you need to go to your chooks folder in and make sure the X+ folder is there.

I'm using X+ with no problems so far in X2MR2

If you go to settings, customize do you see X+ in the category dropdown list? If not, do you see the X+.ft file in the chooks folder?

I am also having problems seeing X+ in my toolbar.

I downloaded the X+ set up sheet and put it into my chooks in the mr2/chooks folder but it will not run. says its incompatible.

I have read all the search strings I found with no luck finding any details on how to actually install this thing so I am not sure I am doing it right.

Any ideas?

I can't make it display the icon in X2 Mr2, so I just went into system config, under start/exit where Add In Programs is, is a field for default. browse for the x+ directory, leave the start up and exit check marks unchecked, and then save. Then when you want to use x+ just click on the chooks icon and the x+ directory will pop up, voil'ahh.

I checked and my start/exit is already set to the setup+.dll and the boxes are unchecked.

I dont have a c-hooks button on in my tool bar menu.

Something seems off here. thanks for the help.

Chooks, Regenerate display, screen stats are in one of the stock ribbons, just turn it on.

check whether your X+ setupsheet is installed in

"mcamxchooksX+" folder, since when you start installing the X+ it will try to install in a folder

c:McamX2-MR1. you have to change this to

"drive namemcamx".

 

else wait for X+ X2MR2

Alt + C is the keyboard shortcut for chooks.

but every time I try to use it I get an error.

I don't think I did it right initially.

I would go into my config and see if the mcam is looking into the correct chooks folder, if you did an upgrade/migrate instead of a side by side install mastercam will be looking for the old location.

if you are only user XP or vista don't let you install program or plug-in on your C:

 

 

i had the same problem , now i am admin on my computer and 90% of my config problems and issues are just gone !!!

There is an X+ MR2 setup.zip in the c-hooks folder on the ftp site. I installed this but still cannot get it to work. Something has changed though because the op manager is different now. But I still get the error

 

"Incompatible C-Hooks internal version number. Recompile and relink the C-Hook: C:MCAMX2CHOOKSX+SETUPSHEET.dll"

 

Any ideas?

Is the MR2 X+ in the FTP C-Hooks a good version for me? I am Running X2-MR2.

I think that X+ might be for X MR2, not X2 MR2... I am fairly certain that the new X+ for X2 MR2 is not out yet. =]

 

Someone wanna correct me, please? I have enjoyed using it up to recently.
