I'm trying V9 and the translate by toolplane doesn't seem to work for me. Checked with v8.1 and it is fine, went back to v9 and retried using many different ways and to no good results I'm turning to you guys. Anybody had any problem with V9 transform- translate by toolplane? frown.gif

I did have it checked and a new # assigned to it with 0 for increment. Changed inrement to 1 and repetitions (or steps)to 3 with the code outputting the required new number of times but with no work offset output. this done at the horizontal and my workplane was front because I'm doing rotation but in itself is 3 axis work.

Thanks for your response.

If you are doing tranlations in the same view, not a change in toolplane, you need to check on the tool plane origin only check box right under the tranlate selection box. Also make sure your transform method is by toolplane and not coordinate.

Mastercam will only create new offsets for a change in toolplane or change in tool origin.

Try these settings:

TYPE - Translate / tool plane origin only

METHOD - Toolplane

Copy source

subprogram / inc

Work offset numbering - assign new, start 0, increment 1.

It should work fine.

Like I mentioned before, the setup is for horizontal and I do have all my construction planes and work planes at front VW. The changes made were from a file brought in from V8 but I tried single routines in front VW as a simple Horizontal setup and sometimes adding rotations and if you look at the code it is output correctly, only the new work offsets are missing confused.gif (g55... etc,)

Thanks for trying.
