  1. "Propably when perpendicular lead in was used there wasn't enough "space" for a machine to adjust cc so it did it on one of the next moves" I think you found the problem!!!!
  2. IF[#506EQ1]GOTO1(PALLET = 1) IF[#506EQ2]GOTO2(PALLET = 2) #3000=0(PALLET NUMBER NOT DEFINFED) (OFFSET DIFFERENCES PALLET 1 TO 2) N1(PALLET NO 1 OFFSETS) G10G90L2P0X0Y0Z0B0 G90G10L2P1X0Y-17.67Z-37.415B359.991 G10G90L2P2X0Y0Z0B0 G10G90L2P3X0Y0Z0B0 G10G90L2P4X0Y0Z0B0 G10G90L2P5X0Y0Z0B0 G10G90L2P6X0Y0Z0B0 GOTO3 N2(PALLET NO 2 OFFSETS) G10G90L2P0X0Y0Z0B0 G90G10L2P1X0Y-19.64Z-40.959B0.0 G10G90L2P2X0Y0Z0B0 G10G90L2P3X0Y0Z0B0 G10G90L2P4X0Y0Z0B0 G10G90L2P5X0Y0Z0B0 G10G90L2P6X0Y0Z0B0 GOTO3 N3(END PALLET NO OFFSET ROUTINE) FIRST check if you can register the pallet number as it loads into the machine and then use this macro routine do the logic, that way you use only one program. Only have the operator do the offset adjusting for the correct pallet ( or weird things might happen...... F. Javier
  3. Or.. How about have the machine check what pallet number it just loaded inside, and if the palllet number is "#1" to jump and read "#1" set of offsets; and if the palllet number is "#2" to jump and read "#2" set of offsets in an "if then" macro statement... I'll think about it and give you more specifics later. I know we do something similar so that we use one program only. Then again mabye someone else can suggest something better F. Javier
  4. X = X(COS T) – E(SIN T) Z = X(SIN T) + E(COS T) + D T = Angle E = (Z – D) Note: “E” is always positive number D = Distance from machine zero to center of pallet Z = actual z zero used to rotate HTH F. Javier
  5. This is one of the best tools for my quick set-ups; you guys who built this c-hook really rock!!! thanks for it.
  6. We'll see you around. Enjoy the class!!
  7. Our dealer came through!!! The problem is that we have our tool library across the server and somehow the access to the holder doesn't come thru. In the screen config the new definition for tool library is now to the "C" drive and the holder shows as it does for all you guys. Thanks for the help. F. Javier
  8. thanks Wildcat, the holder file is as you spec'ed it and everything seem ok except it is not working for me as I previously mentioned. Thanks again, I'll keep you guys posted. F. Javier
  9. Thanks storkman, it is defined properly and the holder is at the correct directory (I opened it to check it). The tool shows but the holder does not... and what's funny about it is that even in replot the toggles turn themselves off to NOT show the holder, thats why I suspect something else.. thanks again. I'll keep searching. F. Javier
  10. Hi guys; In my replot i toggle the switch show holder to "Y" and as soon as I step to replot the toggle "show holder" turns back to "N". In verify the holder is not coming on... Have any of you guys found a way for the holder to show? V9.1 SP2 I searched the database and did not find an adequate answer. Thanks in advance F. Javier
  11. (In rafiki's voice) CORRRECTION!!! the ncdatasheet is in english, you can without a lot of effort get what you need and for an additional fee it can be customized to your own needs.
  12. I see you guys are having fun with this... ncdatasheet.dll is another chook that acomplishes this task... and pro'ly more. you can do asearch for ncdatasheet to check where to download. HTH F.Javier
  13. Do a search for NCDATASHEET or NCDATASHEET.DLL, It is very helpful also. HTH
  14. I agree, would be nice to have an idea of the goodies to look forward to...
  15. Cool!! I'll check it out, Thanks!
  16. I am damned mad because my hard drive crashed and I lost all the tidbits that I had been saving from every thread that I had learned something new from and is now gone.... I will suggest you make a folder as Millman suggested and add to it as you keep learning from all the generous minds. (and...... keep a back-up somewhere else)
  17. Congratulations; I can picture you looking out the window, baby in arms, and realizing how the world is such a wonderful place and how lucky we are to have the chance to enjoy such a gift..... same situation happened here just a few days ago, a boy, my fourth. (I think four is my number.) Congrats to you and your family!! F Javier.
  18. i LOVE this feature also except that we have to keep in mind that it extens or shortens in a linear direction so in the case of arcs you can end up with unexpected results at your start or end of the programmed path. please try it on an arc so you'll see what I mean. (or do a search on the forum about this feature) F. Javier
  19. I just found this the hard way also (same ID process as you) and came searching to check whether this was reported. Thanks for sharing and sorry I had not read your post prior to this happening. F. Javier
  20. An important detail on smaller thread sizes is that the drill size sugested for roll is not always at the ideal chart size and if the hole starts bellmouthing the thread minor will not be forming fully in the area mentioned and for that reason you should take extra care in small deep roll formed threads. (or ream as suggested) I would sugest to check from the end side on thru threads and if blind to do a test at the same depth (but thru) every 100 threads (or whatever you choose) to insure your quality.
  21. I think you should take James offer and have a look at his shop because once you see a cell work in progress you will realize how you can apply it to your shop. In our cell the concept of the cell applies to the machines (they are linked and have the same tooling so a job can be transferred to any other machine if the other is busy. The fixtures are built around the same concept (location bushings and bolts around the same pattern) so that any fixture can be moved to any pallet, tombstone or face you choose and the cells are close to an are that is of need, (toolcrib, inspection, etc) the same principle can be applied to a smaller shop, the key is that the "principle" or "concept" must be followed. HTH F. Javier
  22. "I believe the process is Xform, translate, all, entites, done, between views. " I believe that at this point you get lost if you don't know which is your top, front, etc. so the best way for you to do it might be to choose entities, (x 1st, then y or solid) choose save and then what construction plane you want to send it to. HTH F. Javier
  23. Mitee-bite has some heat activated wax that you use to heat between a simple any size plate and the the material. When it cools down you can machine it and after machining you heat it again to remove the part from the baseplate and voila! you are done. They may have some info on their website. (Just another idea) F. Javier
  24. sorry, here's the complete link. http://www.mmsonline.com/articles/010401.html
