Thru Tool Coolant

Hello chaps,

quick question for you!

I've got a 10 year old machine with a meldas 500 control and I can't find the m codes to switch on and off the thru tool coolant. I can do it manually at the controls but would prefer to add it in the program.I've tried M50 but no joy.The manual I've got with it has all the m-codes bar the one I need.

 

Any ideas???

M88 M89 on my Mori's

Our Mazaks use M51... Mazak uses Mits. (Meldas) so it might be the same.

I've seen m7 and m17 as also

The M88 and 89 didn't work but cheers mate.

The 51 is that switch on? If so what do you use to switch off M09. I had M51 as switch off earlier today but I'll give it a go.

You might try M51 and M59 as well

M7 on mine is air and the others didn'y work too.

Have you opened the cabinet and looked at where the coolant is wired in, they may have taped the used M codes near the connections

Couldn't find any list I will get on to the company I got it off again and see if they can help, but they're not being too helpfull.

You should be able to call the manufacturer and tell them the model # and they will give you the correct codes. I've had to do this before with our Kitamuras.
