Single point threadmilling in a Fadal?

Can a fadal handle single point threadmilling?

Or should I use one of our harder-to-get-time-on Fanuc control machines?

The tool I have is a "accupro" brand, 5/16" shank, .230 diameter at the cutting head, I need to cut about 1/2"-3/4" deep. The thread is a 1 3/16 x 16tpi. Can anyone suggest speeds and feeds for this?

Yes it can.

The code below will run on both.

Speed & Feeds will depend on the material you are cutting.

Now, create the tool path and then in the tool window, right click and "Create New Tool", you can click on file on the lower section of the tools definition tab and navigate to your custom tool, set everything you want and the save to library.

The tool will now reside in your library accessible for use at any other time as well.

I would suggest using the "Undefined" type for this type of tool, don't forget to set the tool diamter properly as well
