Surface Rough

Hi everybody,

I need your help today. Which surface rough do I need to use to mill only this surface (white color) as shown? The toolpath should go inside the surface only and will not pass the pocket.

I don't mean to compare which program is better. If anyone uses Catia V5, he will know I use Spiral Milling for this surface.

Thanks,

Yes it would, but I would not use it for that. You could try couple different things in that toolpath for make it match Catia. I tell you what Give me your hardest most difficult toolpath that you think Mastercam sucks hind xxxx on and then let me give you back the same path in Mastercam and show you its real power. Sorry, but you do not have Mastercam listed as your software yet you keep asking if Mastercam can do this or that, would you mind explaining your reasons for all the questions if you are not programming in it. Sorry if you already did I must have missed it or just not remember. This is meant in the best possible way I can word it so please do not take offense to my question.

Sorry for bothering you. Actually I am not Mastercam programmer yet, but I am Catia designer/programmer. As my company requests, they asked me to switch to MasterCam. Thats why I have to learn MasterCam X2 in a short time quickly.

I am practicing on a sample that I asked you how to use which surface rough. Here is the list of ToolPath that I have done today. I started learning MX2 3 weeks ago and I know that is not enough time for me to write a good program. Thats why I need your help and keep learning everyday.

If you can send me your sample part I would be glad to throw some different toolpaths on a part to give you some ideas. I am assuming you will be doing 5 axis toolpaths so if you can send me a file that needs 5 axis toolpath I will be glad to show some tips and tricks I have picked up from others and figured out over the years. I am learning Catia for drawing so maybe we can help each other. wink.gifwink.gif

Sorry if I seem like a hard person, but seen to many coming in here with different motives and willing to help you out any way I can.
