post processors

how can i get the post processor to quit if one of the questions isn't answered correctly ?

Uassaly Enter will stop or Esc.

if abc = 0,

if abc = 0, stop processing and exit the post processor while leaving an error message to the

programmer

else, continue on processing...

or if abc > 0, continue on processing....

 

or something like that

I thought you said if it hickcups while posting you want to stop it and get out correct or you want it to cont?

the ESC key is in the upper left hand side of the key board.

no no no.... sorry, i'm not making myself clear.

i'm trying to prevent the programmer from fudging

on certain events. i want the post processor to quit by itself without the programmer having to hit the escape key.

something like that. we normally add the work plane in there somewhere for reference only,

they usually just hit return and the post

puts in "WORK PLANE = 0". (there are 6 work planes on a cube, numbered 1 through 6). what i want it to do is stop processing and say "hey you, you forgot something, try again". or something like that. i can think of a few ugly names i could put in there also, but i won't, maybe.....

Gary, Here is how you would do it.

]

This will output the message and halt the posting
