I am trying to figure out what a 7/16-20 unjf thread pitch should be. Does anyone know or have a chart showing all he unj thread pitchs or where to find it. Thanks

I think maybe i asked the wrong question I know the pitch is .05 between threads. what im trying to figure out is what the dia. should be when I measure with tread mics?

Just be careful with J-form threads. Isn't either the famale or male modified root?

As stated above, the pitch given was for UNF 2A threads, not UNJF threads. Pitch for 7/16-20 UNJF-3A is .4019/.4050. External threads have a controlled root radius. Root radius tolerance is .0075/.0090.

Thank you very much for the help guys. I can not find any info on these threads anywhere. Im pretty much calling this operator error on my part since other people can find it lol. I tried finding info on these threads in the machinist handbook, but no luck. Does anyone have any info on these threads? Again thank you all for the help. This site is great and a must have for any machinist even if they dont use mastercam.

Most customers have Quality manuals that repeat these specs as well as other demensional tolerances. Try checking with your QC dept. to get some copies run off, or perhaps a .PDF.

 

Mil Specs as well, google it.
