Lots of ways to attack this one...

The toolpaths should be fairly straight forward, I'd use high speed core roughing to rough off the bulk of the material (looks like you made a typo on matl. size?), then I would use a combination of contouring, pocketing, and flowline machining to finish off the part. Holding the part on the second op looks like it might be a chore.

I would probably build a fixture plate with standoffs and use bolts through the holes (into threaded standoffs) and toggle clamps to hold the part for the second operation.

That picture gives me a basic idea, but several features are hard to distinguish.

It looks like there are areas where the designer added bosses, but didn't include the proper corner fillets to make it easy to manufacture.

If you designed it yourself, you can always add them, if it was designed elsewhere, consider getting the designer to add them for you. For example, the flat 45 deg. bevel ends abruptly at the wall with a sharp corner. The only way to cut that sharp corner would be to stand the part up so the right side view is facing up and machine that feature with a long flat bottomed endmill. If you could add a .15 fillet or larger to that edge, you could surface machine that bevel with a .25 or larger ball endmill.

Can you post a file on the FTP site?

Thanks Colin, I had the same idea for 2nd op, but the first op, you got me going faster now. thanks again,oh on the 45 deg angle it does have a radius .125 at the blend, i got that with 1/4 ball thanks for pointing that out... for some reason i can't post the file on the FTP site, once again thanks for leading me to the right direction
