Which DNC software to use

For the last 6 years we have been using Camline WinDNC without any problems. Have just upgrade to a new PC (same platform) and for some reason the DNC software just wont startup. I have contacted the reseller but no news as yet, to what the problem is. We don't really need anything as fancy as Camline WinDNC. If it all ends going belly up, can you suggest a simple (cut down) DNC software package. We only use it on 2 machines and don't any of the other stuff Camline WinDNC offers.

I would use the free version of Cimco editor that will do this.

Will this work in the background like Camline WinDNC. So the machine operator only has to input the progam number/name on the machine and their is no need for him to use the PC.

No They have to use a PC. Call the people at Cimco and talk to them. They make a top notch product. They are others, but I was just offering a free option you may not have been aware.

We have been using DNC Server for several years now. It has been very easy to use and is very inexpensive. We do not use the auto-serve mode but it seems to be capable of what you are asking for. Free trial too...

We have used Cimco DNCMax for a few years now and are upgrading to V5 tomorrow. We have around [30] CNC machines ranging in age about [30] years and they all work flawlessly with the system; it has been fantastic for us and I would recommend to anyone.

We use Extreme Dnc, it works great for us,let you back plot,look at running time, and do some quick edits ,really easy to use

For only two machines I'd use TeraTerm Pro. It's free, simple, and reliable.

I've got 5 machines and just use the free Cimco editor. I got switch boxes....

I'd also like to upgrade to a more automated system. My reseller also deals in RYM systems I believe. I saw a demo about a year ago and it is impressive...
