Permission Denied

Hopefully someone can help me with this, I'm sure many of you can. The company I work at has 2 seats of Mcam X3 and 2 of us program. We save our files in a common folder on my computer.

 

Whenever a file is created in my mcam first the other programmer cannot save the file under the same name. He gets the Permission Denied warning. I've noticed the folder properties show read only but cannot be changed, however the individual files are not shown as read only.

 

When the file is first created on the other computer there are no problems saving back and forth.

 

I'm pretty positive it's not a mcam issue since this only starting happening when I got a new computer but I'm hoping somebody might have a solution for me.

You need to set the sharing files permissions on that P.C. from 'Do not share this folder' to 'share this folder'

 

Right click my computer and hit explore

then find the folder and right click properties

go to sharing tab

The other computer has full access to my computer.

There is also a setting to 'allow other computers to change files"
