High And Low Poins Of A Model

Is there a way to grab the high and low points of a model in Mastercam? I am working with a ring forging for a case that will be going on the turning machine. I would like to turn it as close as possible and leave as little stock as possible for milling. There are multiple bosses, pads, and openings in the finished model and I want to be able to grab part boundaries or a "shadow" of that model. I hope all this made sense.

I just re-read your post. If you are doing this in lathe, solids to 2d profile may do what you want too.

That worked great! Holy crap though, it takes about 45 minutes with the step tolerance of .100 for this perticular file eek.gif

Thanks for the help cheers.gif
