o/t Fanuc o-t in not ready state

Getting a small gang tool Wasino lathe up and running for the first time, and the control is stuck saying "not ready". No alarms, just hung up. Any quick ideas? o-t control.

Some machines make you hit the start button twice. Once for the electrical then the hydralics. Then you have to home the machine.

Holding the Power On button while starting up and moving the machine from an overtravel condition with the Handwheel(MPG) has fixed some Fanucs I've seen in the past.

Thanks fellas, keep them suggestions coming. I'm going into the shop tonight and will let you know. The manual is useless, thus far I've been trial and error manually triggering individual sensors. It's gotta be something simple (I hope).

If a relay has been tripped it might cause this. Check them also.

this would happen to us on a machine when it would sit over the weekend. The tool changer arm would sag and cause this same condition. Holding the control on button would fix this at start up.

On our lathe order of start-up:main power on, opening then closing the door and then green power button by screen, then of course home all axis.HTH

Chris, Does it have a number with that alarm or just the alarm message?

check diagnostic 121.4

this will tell you if the machine is in emergency stop state, then check 21.4 this is the input to the plc for estop. there may be ot switches tied in series and one is open. Remember switches in series are normally closed.

Or you do not have 24 volts dc. check your power supply

I had the reset button get stuck on me once. Fanuc service found it. They had to replace the board.
