Toolpath Calculation Error

Morning all, I am now getting a new error message

 

“Warning –tool path calculation error,

Please contact your Mastercam Reseller.

Surface Finish Leftover”

Any one familiar with this, any one got a fix?

ya that usually means you are doing something wrong like your plane is set wrong, your boundary doesn't project over drive surfs, your tool won't fit...about a million other reasons but it usually means operator error.

 

occasionally I have had that error and just had to delete the op and make a new one.

I've seen it most with tool definitions that it didn't like.

sometimes a very minor change in the stepover setting will fix this

Also take a look at the setting asking you the size of the tool you used prior.  When this happens to me it's usually because I forgot to set my tool plane correctly.  The part about "contact your Mastercam reseller" seems very odd, though.

Just rebooting the Mastercam will work sometimes! It has worked for me.
