Translate problems

I have an issue! After upgrading from X4 MU1 to MU2 I can't Translate move anything. All it will do is Translate copy. I use Keycreator to do all of my cad modeling and usualy have my model where i want it when bring it over into Mastercam. Today I goofed and put my model in the wrong spot and when I tried to Translate move it would only copy. I have went over this simple step 3-4 times and can't seem to figure out whats going on(yes the "move" box is checked). Any suggestions?

I have the same dang problem with x-form after mu2 was installed, trying to rotate solids or parasolids imported from solidworks. The only thing I am doing for now is instead of moving my part I'm moving my wcs(gnomen) to the required zero point. As far as the issue I still haven't had time to call cnc yet, but that's my next step.

Same problem here it will move the wire frame but leave the solid behind seems to work on surface models. If I close mastercam and reopen the same file it works called support and they said it was suppose to be fixed in mu2 they told me to reinstall

did you guys try "regenerate display list" before moving the solid

that might work

Very odd It works all good for me. I can import a step file and translate/rotate move the solid all OK

I have this problem with Pro-e Files. The regenerate display list fixes the probem or save and reopen it. Pete at CNC is working on this.

I guess i'll just keep translating in Keycreator and reopen with Mastercam until this get's fixed.

You could do the copy and then pick all/xform group and delete the old geometry as a work-around.

I had some issues selecting imported solids in X4MU2.

Regenerate display list fixed it for each file.

I downloaded the latest graphic drivers, and now it doesn't happen in the first place.

Have you tried Dynamic Xform.. do you get the same bad results?

 

I never use any of the regular Xform commands now.

I never use dynamic xform and haven't had any problems with X4 MU1 or MU2.

regenerate display worked fine for me. Thanks ajmer and everybody else. Now I can x-form models. Never was down for too long there is always a dozen different ways of working around a problem in mastercam.
