Programing Time

How can I know the spend time inside MC, when I programing a part?

I am locking for like pro/e (manufacturing) in property you have a time (and more information)about the file that you working. My boss need that information.

No, how long the Programmer has been working on the file. AFAIK, that's not available or compiled.

My boss has been asking me as well. Want's to know how much time I spent programming a part. Event log is only good for seven days. He's got me looking at parts I did months ago. The way I estimate programming time is by sorting part files by date last modified and guestimating between the end dates. Add the cycle time and hope it matches my time cards. Setup sheet has cycle time for each operation. How bought creation time as well? Is it possible?

The only problem for me is that I can walk out into the shop and be out there for an hour or two and MC will still be on. I have to estimate my time and punch it in at the end of the day for each job.

 

maybe you could do a spreadsheet in excel, i think there i one on the ftp site that allows you to log time.

"time tracker" is another app that works well. just sits in the tray so you can punch in and out with minimal fuss. you can set up multiple projects as well and punch in and out as required.

If you don't mind a bit of manual tracking, but like getting updates, and managing a bunch of tasks

Thanks for the replies, but I am looking for the time spent in each MC file. Just like SCREEN -> STATISTICS show # of tools, # Operations.. it would be nice if it showed time spent.
