Good luck getting a Mazak service tech in when a machine goes down.

You'll be waiting quite a while.

 

Mazak is great until you need a service tech and you WILL need one.

You are then at their mercy.

 

For all the hassle, I wouldn't touch Mazak for anything less than an Integrex.

Makino is the greatest. When you need help they will do anything to get you going right away. It all depends on your budget.

That has not be our experience.

 

I don't think Mazak service is awesome but it is not bad.

 

Again, our experience in our area which is often the difference. Each area and machine brand can have good or bad service.

The Mazak rep in my area is a very good guy, and you can get a hold of him anytime and offers great service. They have a tech center about 40 miles from my shop and they have great support. Tim Kramer is his name and I would recommend him and his company to anyone, just a top notch group to work with.
