The other reason I resurrected this thread was because I was going to propose to Webby that there be a restricted access Beta Testers Forum to discuss Beta related issues. It woudl have to be restricted because obviously we do not want everybody with an internet connection to be able to see what Mastercam is in the process of developing if you know what I mean. So, is anybody other than me interested in this? Obviously CNC would probably need to approve this but I think it would just be nice to be able to discuss workarounds for bugs and stuff like that. So, waddyall think?

I would like to see this also. It could be really helpful as well as something like what Jay does with a few of his customers and me at one point as we tried to narrow done a bug. I forget what you call it, but I am sure Jay will chime in. We were able to share a file over the net and both were able to work on it together. That was great.

This topic say V8 because it was like the third topic ever posted up on this forum and in my boredom at midninght one late night at work waiting for my cycle to finish, I resurrected it and hijacked it.

 

So webby..... I think [email protected] would have to buy into it but as you all seem to agree, this would be beneficial.

Well sign me up! I think the forum for Beta sites would be a great idea. Way to go James! MCQC has done a great job! But I think this would help everyone with being able to actually talk about the new stuff and possibly give MCQC some even better feedback.

Two other threads exist where CNC Software states that they'd rather have a one-to-one relationship with Beta sites, using email as the primary means for tech supporting beta sites:
