I have used ivb's on many projects. There are some times when nothing else will do. I had a titanium window frame that required a wheel cutter to cut a 'c' shape inside of one of the larger cutouts. The old fashioned way, I would have to cut part and then switch clamps - cut the other part... and so forth with a bunch of clamp changes. With the ivb's, they sat in the material out of the way and I was able to cut the whole area with out any operation intervention - except for those pesky cutter checks to see if the inserts have burned up!!! - Great product

Our standard operating procedure goes like this - we face the stock, drill, ream pin holes, drill thru holes (.421/.437) and tap 1/2" deep at ivb locs. This is what we call the stock prep operation. Sometimes we do some milling in that operation - depending on how ridgid the set-up is and the configuration of the part. Then we flip the part over, pin (2) plcs. and secure with ivb fasteners.
