i've got a 3D feature made of splines from a surface that i need to run a spheremill around to take a burr off the part. i've tried picking the splines and doing a 3D contour but the z basically stays the same. and i can't get it to cut the right size feature. If someone can help me with uploading the file i can do that.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

josh

p.s. running mill level 3 version 8.1

thanks everyone for the responses.

I'll try to upload the file and use the chamfer option to see if it works better.

Will, i'm actually running V8.1.1 - my mistake.

Allan, it looks like the Z moves .156 and but the total movement needs to be .38 more on one half only.

thanks everyone, this place is great!

I can't get the file to drag and drop into the FTP site. what am i doing wrong? i opened explorer and opened the FTP site. when i try to drag the file to the FTP file for Mc8 files, it brings up the warning asking whether to open or save. if i choose save it puts it somewhere on my computer and if i choose open it opens the file in Mastercam.
