Bravo Scott, Bravo smile.gifsmile.gif Such an inspiration.

Tony, I also share Chris's enthusiasm - your analogy is quite remarkable and so very disappointing when this happens. frown.gif

CAMmando, excellent topic, keep up the good work.

Operators coming to say how well the machine is running, instead of turning up at 3.25pm on Friday to say, "I've had a wee touch on the ...(insert machine type here).... because I forgot to ....(add excuse here)...., any ways it's time to go, see you next week".

Def. of wee touch = Tool wreaked, Machine needs reset, X or Y or Z or B or C axis needs reset, turrets on the xxxx, chucks on the xxxx., spindles on the xxxx...... I'm gald it wasn't a major!!!!!!

Imagine the shop know-it-all actually running a job the way its setup (without me standing next to him saying "WTF is that endmill in Tool #3?") instead of changing all of the cutting tools, speeds, and feeds before he even runs a part because "it'll never work like this", besides, "what's the hurry?"

Imagine managers that actually exert some discipline in the shop instead of trying to be everybody's pal

Imagine sales / engineering admitting to themselves that they know absolutely nothing about machining and ceasing all attempts to tell us how they thought we would make the part
