Update post to X5

I have a custom 5-axis post made by In House Solutions for version X4. I'm trying to update it to version X5 with the updatepost c-hook. The c-hook will not allow me to turn on the option to create the machine and control definitions. The boxes for that option are unchecked and I am not able to check them. How do I get this option turned on?

try using the update folder... utility under file menu. Then you can update them one by one if needed. Besure to check after updateing that the machine def links to control and control to post. That should work for you.

You cannot create Control or Machine definitions when updating "X" posts. That ability is limited to updating pre-X posts.

Thanks for all the help. I used the file/update folder option and I think I got it to work. I won't know for sure until I try to run some code in a few days. If for any reason the update does not work my reseller said they could update the post, control, and machine def. I'm not sure if they do it or send it to In House.
