ALUMOLD 500

Anyone familiar with ALUMOLD 500. I need to machine some parts and no one seems to have heard of it. The only thing I could find online is that its Brinell is 185. Just wanted to see if anyone here has any suggestions for SFM. Or what to compare it to. Thanks in advance.

i treat it like 7075. its a little harder and denser but other wise its just aluminum.

I think its alot like "MoldMax" which is high Aluminum brass. Good heat disipation. The worst is drilling it. When we install waterlines through it, we like to gundrill them as regular drills tend to heat up and get stuck.

moldmax is beryllium copper i don't think there is any aluminum in it

I agree with Robert. Its seems very close to 7075 only a little harder. So far everything is going good with no surprises. Thanks for your input.
