Hi guys, this is a quick one . i have 100 plus blocks to do that have the same features just in different spots.

so my operations look like

cdrill

drill #7 (for 1/4-20)

drill 11/32

endmill 3/8 to straighten hole

endmill slot 3/8

ream 3/8

tap 1/4-20

so the question is , is there a way so when i select the holes for the #7 drill to make it also go into the 1/4-20?

and the 11/32 and endmill and reamer. there are more ops than this , it would just save time and reduce mistakes.

What I would do, is program the #7 drill, then right click on it and drag it down and choose "copy after."

This will give you two identical operations.

Then, modify the second operation, changing everything to your tapping operation. This way, you won't have to reselect your geometry.

If you don't want to do that, you can also select "last" when choosing your point selection so long as you do it in the correct order.

The reason I like the first option, is that most everything is set except re-choosing a tool, speeds/feeds, and depths.

HTH.

In V9 no

In X5 yes..

You can select all the ops then drag the geometry

from the first op to the second

You will be given a choice

Replace or Replace all selected.

If you choose Replace all selected the geoemtry

from the firat op will be inserted into all the ops.

In V9 you'll have to do this one op at a time

sorry, wasnt very clear.

i save a file with no geometry and then import the drawing

and then just select the geometry. so the operations are allready there.

i can drag and drop the points but was just wondering if there was a way to group them without moving them

from there original order.
