Fadal 5Axis post

I just install the X5. was wondering which post should I use for our fadal trunnion table?

Is there any of the ones comes with mastercam works?

Yah, they said the generics should work just fine, but I tried it on X4, didn't work.

Want to start with one that is close to what I need. My reseller asking for G cods that works on my machine and right now don't have time to do that.

That's what it takes to get a post to work.

 

You of course can always buy a post from In-House.

 

But you prolly don't have the $$$ for that either

I'd bet it took you longer to post that than it would to email him an old program...thats all they need...

We do have $$$ for the post. actually, 4 years ago when we bought our Mastercam, our reseller came done to our shop

and " fixed the post" but we always had issues with our post.

That's why we do not have a file with a good G code to send it to him.

when it comes to muliaxis machining we use other softwares to get the job done.

I'm going to start from generic post.

I don't remember Fadal making a trunnion for there machines. I remember the rotary on rotary setup.Are you sure this is a trunnion setup?

Thats what I was thinkin. I've ran Fadal's at several different places and have seen 4th axis for them but NEVER a trunnion

ok texting one of the old Mangers for that area of Fadal as I remember helping them test the Rotary on Rotary but hey you never know.

Tsudokoma and Nikken made a trunion 5 axis setups for fatal. Full 5 axis control.

Trained a number of shops using them.
