Dogleg rapid move

Set your rapid>feed in the MD/CD.

Wow you may be on to something.

 

Take out the G00......you could hard code that.

 

Does it dogleg on a G01?

 

The only other way that I know would be to edit the post where it would move the x and y separately .

 

I never tried to stop it. Just always did absolute.

Yes it is the same principle Highspeed machining is using in feeding to the next place for a cut verses rapiding to the next place. By feeding you elimate all dog leg, but also get only feed rates. Might put a conditional statement in the post for rapid if it sees a drill cycle to always use feed rate instead of rapid. Then or course you have to worry about getting only feed rates on pecks.
