Cursor does not show up in graphics area

not so low hanging.. I've seen this happen, but you usually have to be experimenting

 

with off the wall color schemes to cause it

It makes a big difference.. some cards can be tweaked others are just a write off and not worth the effort

Well from what everyone else says, Intel does not play nice with Mastercam.

 

You might have to disable onboard and install a video card.

when I want to do a contour it shows up in the grahic area but has soon has I click to name the op it goes by by again

now if its not a on board I guess we still have to change out the video card

Disabling "hardware acceleration" I think fixed the problem on one of the older systems I used.

OK,

 

Intel onboard video is about as bad as it get for running Mastercam.

 

Your best bet in a new video card... even a cheap Nvidia GeForce gaming card will give

you better results than what you have now..

 

but there is one thing you can try.

 

On the Screen page of Sytem Config, there are 4 video card settings..

Some combination of those may get you running.

It will never run good, but maybe good enough for simple work.

 

The first one I'd try is "GDI" checked "Open GL" unchecked

then try it with GDI and Disable front buffer checked.

 

When you change these setting's you'll need to close and reopen Mastercam to set them.

Yes. You can use any Nvidia game card if you are on a budget. But I use the low end Quadros and have good luck with them.

 

Some of the game cards still have minor glitches and such though, its a tossup.

 

Video cards are a big part of your CAD system. So get the best you can afford.

 

The book says Quadro chipset is the best with MC.

I've had a problem where changing the "windows Theme" has made the cursor disappear.
