I used the default file locations when I installed and everything is on my computer not a network. I have not been able to try changing the NCI path yet but I will some time today. As far as file permission goes I have read/wright access to everything on my computer and network.

A couple of things I ALWAYS check on a Win 7 Box when software doesn't work properly.

 

1) Disable UAC completely and check your software again.

If it works without issue then you have nailed it down to UAC and user rights & permissions.

 

2) If part of a network domain, double-check if there is a Network Group Policy that overrides certain local user rights.

If have seen this many times where the main exe will be elevated to run as an Admin but the elevation

for child applications or libraries can be blocked because of a Group Policy.

I find it kinda funny that the new install file is the EXACT SAME SIZE as the original. I just hope they didn't post the old install file on their website by mistake.

 

The original was 528,085KB and the new one is 528,144KB

i just did the delete everything with an X6 extension/re-install from the new download , then run the migration utility, everything seems OK a first view
