on exit * Line * tangent * length=0.5

Arc * radius = 0.5 * sweep = 90

 

no control on the exit travel - wants to travel beyond

my exit point - changes with depth?

 

want to enter\exit at 3:00 position.

 

any ideas?

Hey Captpaul,

 

just a couple of ideas.... as far as enter/exit @ 3:00, did you try and change the start point of your tool path?,you may have to use the"dynamic" button to do this.

for the exit past problem,do you have the "overlap" box checked in the lead in / lead out page?. Just some food for thought

Try checking "pass at final depth"

with contour set to ramp and angle

 

"pass at final depth" greyed out!

If you change the angle your ramping at (trial & error is all I can come up with) the lead out position will change. (i.e. 2.5 instead of 3)

Also, breaking the arc will effect the position of entry/exit moves.

Have you tried "adjust end of contour " on the lead in/out page? Has worked for me on simple shapes, haven't tried it on complex contours yet
