Salary $65,000

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 7-10 years direct supervisory experience in a CNC job shop environment

• 5+ years MasterCam programming up to X4 minimum, small components, RF background beneficial.

• Able to demonstrate knowledge of Lean manufacturing and provide project implementation history

• Technical degree or equivalent experience.

• General knowledge of Quality Systems (i.e. ISO9000, AS9100, etc.) and ITAR.

• Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability to work on multiple projects while meeting deadlines on low to medium quantity runs.

• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.

• Must be a US citizen

• Non smoking facility

 

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and lead the activities of machining processes and personnel (current staffing level is 7 employees) during the CNC manufacturing of precision components.

• Assist in creating production planning scheduling and materials acquisition to establish production priorities and plans using JobBoss ERP software.

• Analyze production schedules to estimate work requirements for completion of job assignments and adjust to meet customer delivery requirements.

• Direct production operations in accordance with established priorities and sequences for manufacturing products using knowledge of production processes and methods, machine and equipment capabilities and skilled labor.

• Oversee the creation of the CNC part program using MasterCAM X6 programming and NcSimul verification software.

• Supervise and support the set up, operation and maintenance of CNC machining centers and equipment.

• Coordinate with Quality Assurance in scheduling FAI inspections to minimize machine wait time, troubleshooting tolerance issues and modifying machining processes to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of products.

• Advise management and others of production issues and offer suggestions for changes in working conditions, design, inspection procedures, and the use of equipment.

• Assist in developing and executing goals established for labor and machine utilization, review data collection entries, scrap, rework, evaluate implementations of productivity related goals.

• Initiate, suggest, and implement plans to motivate, empower, train, and develop workers to achieve work goals as a team.

• Conduct performance appraisals and make recommendations for raises, discharges, and disciplinary measures.

• Determine necessary staffing levels, assist in recruiting, interview and make recommendation to hire.

• Support the implementation of employee empowerment thru Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques and principles, such as 5S, standardized work, waste identification and elimination, value stream mapping, team based multi-skilled workforce, one piece flow technology, visual factory concepts, and DMAIC.

• Support the manufacturing efforts in accordance with established ISO9000 and ITAR certification requirements.

• Assist in developing and adopting compliance/certification with AS9100 quality system requirements.

• Maintain safety standards and, OSHA, and EPA. Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work production area.

Would you cover, relocation expenses. Im in California, have been in the industry for 10+ years, 7 of which I have had personnel under me. I am familiar with ERP, and MasterCAM X6, I can setup and operate mills and lathes, naturally program them aswell, I have an AS in Electronics and Comunnications, and working towards an AS in Engineering Technology.

From experience being an owner myself, that’s why he is still around and hiring in these tough times.
