Replacing all or adding some geometry to multiple paths

I have to adjust geomerty buy deleting a few surfaces and creating

a few new ones.

how can I tell all the dirty paths to add the new geometry at once.

my file is 600meg large so it is laggy as heck

when I add the new geometry to the 1st path and drag it to next one it

takes MC a 1/2 a minute for each one do finish the selection process.

I have 80 paths to do this to one at a time.

i would rather have them add the geometry to each path by selecting them some how

and work on something else while waiting for MC to updated toolpath references for a 1/2 hour.

is there any way to achieve this?

Thanks in advance

Rick

Doesnt seem to work

just to be sure i am doing the exact prodeedure

this is exactly what i tried

-tool one path a reselected all the geo necessary

-selected the16 paths

-right clicked on the geometry in the tool path with the one new surface, dragged it to

the first one of the selected 16 paths as you mentioned and left clicked 'replace all selected'

-expanded the path that i dragged it to and it changed from 306 to 307surfaces

-expanded the next two paths and they are still at 306

so I repeated the same proceedure on the 17 paths to see if it behaves the save way

it did not even work on the fist one this time.

Have you tried it with success?

Ill try restarting mc and see if that helps

Rick, you must select the top "geometry" to drag, which means it will also drag the boundaries along with the drive surfaces. In most of my situations, I may use the same drive surface geometry, but different boundary geometry for several toolpaths. Therefore using this method will overwrite all the boundaries. This method would be very useful if you could drag the drive surface geometry to all the toolpaths WITHOUT messing with the boundaries.

Just worked on it with in-house and got the same findings

That is exactly my problem and cannot use this method either.

in this instance

I asked the tech at in-house to contact CNC to enhance this for X7

as it has been ailing me for quite some time and I have already ask for this

enhancment in the enhancement forum and by emailing CNC directly, many versions ago.

it was worth the shot.

thanks for the help as if an when I do have identicle containments and drives

it will be useful.
